St. Patrick's Day was always a holiday I looked forward to as a child. Even now, as an adult, I still get excited for the day I get to wear green. Green has always been my favorite color and in honor of St. Patrick's Day, I wanted to give 17 reasons why green is my favorite color:
1. My maiden name is Green. I always loved that. It was short, simple and easy to spell.
2. Green is the color of life and health for the world.
3. My eyes are green.
4. My dad's name at work is "Dr. Green." I love that.
5. I like almost every shade of green. I don't like pea green or vomit green.
6. Green falls towards the middle of the rainbow and I am the middle child.
7. My aunts and uncles on the Green side are really cool.
8. My Grandma and Grandpa Green are one of the sweetest people and greatest examples I know.
9. Green plants liven up a dull room.
10. On St. Patrick's Day I thought that because my last name was Green and my eyes are green I didn't even need to wear green. I still did though.
11. Green is fun.
12. Green is cool.
13. Green is one of the colors for the game Twister.
14. Green is awesome.
15. Green is great.
16. Green is amazing.
17. Life wouldn't be life without the color GREEN!

Funny, Leslie! And I have to say, I think that you're right about green eyes and having Green as a last name meaning we don't have to dress in green...but I do, too.
