We went to the small town of Wendell for Thanksgiving this year. We took off Thursday morning and arrived just in time for the prayer. Austin's grandma makes the BEST homemade rolls and I look forward to eating them every time we're there for Thanksgiving or Christmas.
The tiny farm house was packed with 40 - 50 people. Some of them I think were guests because I didn't know them. Because of the crowd, we decided to eat outside. All we needed was a light jacket to stay warm.
That night Austin and I went to see the movie "Australia" with a handful of cousins. It was sooo fun. The theater it was showing at was a one-screen theater. It was really old-fashioned and had an upper balcony too. It was blocked off to customers. We decided to sit in the second row, due to the fact that the screen was so small.
Austin and one of his awesome cousins, Caleb, decided to share a monster size Dr. Pepper. Just before the show was starting, Austin was getting a drink and held the cup by the rim instead of the side and "splash" - - - the Dr. Pepper spilled all over dear Caleb. Being the guy Caleb is, he didn't hesitate to let the entire audience know that Dr. Pepper went all over his leg and into his shoe. We were all laughing sooo hard. Let me tell you, the amount spilled on Caleb was maybe a cup of liquid. Austin saved most of it :)
Friday was shopping day for the aunts and Christmas lights for the uncles. We were helping with lights until Flint and Candice kidnapped us and took us to Twin to hang out with them.
That night we went to "Quantum of Solace" and I have to say, not as good as the first James Bond.
Poor Jasmine spent most of the time in her crate. :( She did survive and let us know she was glad to be home.
Stay tuned for posts about Christmas.

Sounds like a nice break, Leslie. We had Thanksgiving at our house this year with Grandma, Sondra, and my brothers and their families. It was nice.
Wow, its a good thing I have your blog to look at to get the real details about thanksgiving. You didn't say half that stuff when you stopped by to visit.
It sounds like you guys are living up the holidays. Tell Jasmine that her favorite care-takers say Hello. Also, could you tell Jed, Nanc n' the boys! That we don't have access to their blog - what's up with that!?
